Peptos Royal Pistol is a 2003 AQHA Sorrel Stallion.  "Pistol" is not only certified as an AQHA Stallion, but is also listed as an eligible sire for breeding by the American Paint Horse Association. 

When you look at Pistol's registration papers you feel like you are reading a list of the top producers in the cutting and working cow horse world.

Pistol's sire is an up and coming NCHA money earning stallion named Peptos Holy Ghost, out of Peptoboonsmal, the 15th ranked NCHA stallion with offspring earnings of $5,462.524.  His sire, Peppy San Badger is the 3rd ranked all time NCHA stallion with offspring earnings of $24,259.866.

The other three stallions on Pistol's papers are non other than Smart Little Lena, the #1 ranked NCHA stallion with offspring earnings of $29,589.275; Smart Little Pistol, the only living sire of a NCHA triple crown winner (Chiquitas Pistol) and sire of offspring with NCHA earnings of $1,202.690; and Doc Athena with NCHA offspring earning of $875,859.

The dam side of Pistol's pedigree is equally impressive beginning with Royal Blue Boon, the #1 all time dam in NCHA offspring earnings with $2,585,129; Miss Silver Pistol, the #12 ranked NCHA money earner of all time with $512,775 in earnings and progeny earnings totally over $4.2 million; and Chick Bar Girl with offspring earnings in excess of $257,300.
